We have built two pools with Claffey and they have been excellent to work with. Our second project was a very complex job with uneven ground, correcting drainage issues and building retaining walls and additional outdoor seating areas.

Claffey went above and beyond in making sure it was designed and executed correctly. Their subcontractors showed up on time and stayed late. Our neighbors even complimented us on how Claffey kept everything so tidy during such a huge project. Claffey has one of the best reputations in our area, and they live up to their name. They are not known to be the cheapest, but they certainly are not the most expensive as we did price out competitors. I feel our money was very well spent in choosing them. They know what they are doing and do it very well. We have referred friends to them and would not hesitate in using them again.

Claffey is hands down the best of the best! Having built numerous homes – I have had my fair share of contractors that fell WAY SHORT of reasonable expectations. Anyone with experience in the building / construction industry knows that things can and will go wrong. Patience, communication and effort make the dream work.

Perfection is hard to come by when you have a hand made product. Claffey however created something pretty damn perfect in my backyard! Claffey impressed me. Well – they actually exceeded my expectations in almost every way imaginable. The quality is top notch. Their materials superb. Their sub contractors were high quality and super reliable. Their communication equally impressive. Even when things went wrong – Claffey was the first to own it, take accountability, make things right and tell me exactly what would happen and when. NEVER – not even once – did they over promise or under deliver. They exhibited a high degree of professionalism, courtesy, respect, integrity and honesty throughout the entire process. They are good, solid people and extremely trustworthy. Brent – our construction / project manager was possibly the BEST contractor / superintendent I have EVER worked with. He was amazingly helpful. Philip (the designer) was super attentive and showed maximum effort. Charlie Claffey – the owner – is a class act and a real stand up guy. He knows the business. Cares about the business and will ALWAYS do the right thing. They may not be the rock bottom cheapest bid – and they may not be the absolute quickest – but they are 100 % worth the money in every way. They take their time and they do it right. Great Job!

Claffey was AMAZING. We started our new pool construction as soon as we closed on our house. After having 4 different designers give us largely the same design (including one designer who kept repeating, I’m giving you my pool, it’s amazing–it wasn’t), we were excited to hear Claffey say, “In unique spaces, you can sometimes get the most amazing results.”

They were great. The design was beautiful. Our construction supervisor was readily available and listened to all our concerns through the process. Once the water went in, we transitioned to their startup/finalization group who probably felt like they lived in our backyard doing everything from noting tile to replace to fixing boulders, removing frogs, and more.

A week after we signed the “official” handoff taking the pool over, a torrential downpour destroyed the builder’s retaining wall and flooded the pool. Claffey was there within the hour of rain stopping, assessed the issues and started helping remove excess water. They brought their team back out, cleared and installed more drains, flocked and cleaned the pool and within a week, the pool looked normal. (Side note, the builder’s rebuilt the wall and landscapers came and fixed the destroyed landscape portion as well).

They were there with us through it all–friendly, concerned, helpful, responsive. I have recommended them to several friends who all have had similar experiences.

Claffey has just completed the 4th pool they have built for us over the last 20 years. As always the design is exactly what I had envisioned.

Their staff was courteous and professional throughout the entire process. This was for a new house we were building. They worked well with our building contractor and despite a lot of rain at the start of the summer, the pool was finished on time. I highly recommend them.
