Flowing Modern Sunken Fire & Slide

The key was to see the sunken firepit from the front door, living room, and both inside/outside kitchen areas as the focal point. Second, the fire pit had to be round so everyone faced each other. Third, with the walkway, flush spa (close to the Master) and tanning lining up on the home architecture the pool was too small for general activity. The vanishing edge basin was enlarged to create more space for family activity and the top basin for hanging out. The slide profile was minimized and incorporated with the steps going down to the yard. White Sandblasted Marble pavers blended with the white stucco home and were used on the porches and steps also. Equipment sets were set on two levels to maximize space and provide better hydraulics. Synthetic turf on the upper terrace was for games and table area with large gatherings. This fluid geometry fit both the inside, outside and all the dreams of this family.
