Winter Freeze Assessment

As we are in the midst of a never before seen weather event in Texas, please understand that this will be the single largest request for pool related service ever experienced in Texas. Please understand that Claffey Pools will work to serve all Claffey Pools clients as quickly as possible. The sheer number of requests for freeze damage assessments will require the vast majority of our employee base to be solely dedicated to restoring the operations of Claffey customers. In the best interest of serving our embedded customer base, we cannot accept requests from clients that do not have a Claffey built pool, Claffey built remodel, or existing Claffey service customer.

Regardless of prior communication to a Claffey Pools employee or owner, each Claffey customer MUST complete the attached questionnaire. Our ability to dispatch the proper personnel is contingent upon accurately completing the questionnaire.

Please understand that our ability to allocate the greater majority of our staff to dealing with one issue comes at a cost. A $175.00 fee to assess damages is completely necessary to assist in covering only a portion of the costs.

With an already severely taxed supply chain due to Covid-19, the ability to obtain the whole goods necessary to repair pools will be extremely challenging. While it may not be all encompassing, Claffey Pools has already taken steps to support this effort with the manufactured equipment that is customary with Claffey Pools. All requests will be addressed in a first come, first serve manner with those customers that did call in to get on the “list” being served first once the questionnaire and assessment fee is received.

Finally, reaching out to any of our ownership or staff in an attempt to go around this process will result in our staff directing you back to this process. We in no way are trying to be difficult, however, to control what is more calls than we have ever received, developing a consistent process is the only way we can assure consistent results.

Thank you for completing the questionnaire. As discussed in the introduction letter, our ability to utilize the greater majority of our staff to assess damages comes at a cost. The fee to provide an assessment is $175.00. The assessment will cover the following services:

• All currently running pools will be assessed for mechanical damages to the equipment set and the mechanical components at the pool.
• All winterized pools will be de-winterized, started back up, and assessed for mechanical damages to the equipment set and mechanical components at the pool.
• All frozen pool equipment, frozen pools, pools experiencing broken plumbing lines, or pools loosing water will be assessed for mechanical damages to the equipment set and mechanical components at the pool.
• All assessments will include an estimate to replace compromised mechanical pieces either at the equipment set or at the pool. This estimate will be detailed enough to provide to your home owners insurance representative.
