Devine Freeform Reservoir

The craftsmanship of the masonry work on this project is superb. The battered slate spillway over 5,000 pieces of slate were had chipped and layered one by one. The natural stone walls were dry stacked and hand chiseled one by one with ¼” or less joints. The grade change from front to back is done elegantly with a custom designed battered slate spillway custom designed iron hand rails and upper terrace spa with view of fireplace. The layering of levels; hardscape and softscape create privacy for both sight and sound. The topographical change and existing drainage problems created challenges. With over 10ft of rise in less than fifty feet, the elevation layering was exacting to create aesthetic appeal and still solve the drainage problems. This pool design blends into the hillside to create much needed privacy. The use of terracing provides multiple levels of entertaining. The centering of features from bottom to top was designed to enjoy from all of the site lines form within the house.
