Omni Filter Aid is an effective produvt designed to enhance the pool's filtration system and remove tiny particles that normally would pass through the filter. The small particles can cause the water to look dull and cloudy. Filter Aid removes these particles and also aids in the removal of suspended metals from pool water.
Directions for use:
Before using Omni Filter Aid make sure that filter, skimmer, and pump strainer pot basket are cleaned.
Sand Filters:
1. Thoroughly backwash filter. Return valve to normal position.
2. Add Omni Filter Aid with pump running by mixing required amount in a clean bucket of water slowly adding this slurry through th skimmer.
3. Backwash filter to remove Filter Aid after 24 hours - sooner if the pressure guage reached maximum allowed by the filter manufacturer.
4. Repeat treatment if necessary to clear water completely.
D.E. Filters:
1. Thoroughly backwash filter. return valve to normal position.
2. Prepare a mixture of 1 part Filter Aid and 2 parts D.E. ina clean bucket of water in sufficient quantity to make up the normal filter charge.
3. Coat the filter with this mixture, adding as you normally would if using D.E. alone.
Cartridge Filters:
1 Remove,clean and replace cartridges
2. With pump running, add 8 cups of Filer Aid for each 100 square feet if filter area.
3. Clean cartridge when pool clears or if the filter pressure reaches the maximum allowed by the filter manufacturer.
4. Repeat if necessary
Note: Use filter Aid routinely once a month to help maintain optimum water clarity.
